TYPOLOGY OF STYLISTIC UNITS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEKISTAN
The article provides a comparative and linguocultural analysis of stylistic units in English and Uzbek. Stylistic units are classified
at lexical, syntactic, and phonetic levels, and their pragmatic functions in discourse are examined. Corpus-based data reveal the
dominance of abstract metaphors and irony in English, while national-cultural metaphors and paremiological units prevail in Uzbek.
The results contribute to comparative stylistics and translation studies.
