This article analyzes the scholarly legacy of Imam al-Bukhari through the lens of Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of cultural capital. The study employs causal analysis, normative-institutional, and discursive methodologies to examine Imam al-Bukhari’s life and scientific activity. Hadiths are interpreted not only as religious texts but also as social institutions that legitimize moral norms, values, and social sanctions. The embodied, objectified, and institutionalized forms of cultural capital are identified within Imam al-Bukhari’s intellectual contributions. The findings demonstrate that hadiths function as a rational sociocultural mechanism that promotes social order, moral regulation, and cultural stability in society.
