INNOVATIVE METHODS FOR RATIONALIZING FOOD WASTE MANAGEMENT
The article analyzes current approaches adopted by foreign countries to reduce and process food waste, including the use of food
sharing, cooperative initiatives, and composting and bioconversion technologies. Based on data from FAO, the World Bank, and
scientific publications, the study identifies key mechanisms that help reduce the economic and environmental costs associated with
food loss. Particular attention is given to the possibilities of adapting international experience to the conditions of the Republic of
Uzbekistan, taking into account national infrastructure characteristics, consumer habits, and ongoing agrarian reforms. The article
also formulates recommendations for improving the institutional and regulatory framework for food waste management in the
country.
