This article assesses the microbiological condition of surface water sources distributed along the prevailing wind direction around the Angren coal mine. Water samples were collected at different distances from the mine and analyzed under laboratory conditions across four seasons. The obtained results were compared with background area indicators, allowing the identification of seasonal and spatial patterns of technogenic impact. The findings indicate that ash and dust particles emitted from the Angren coal mine have a significant negative effect on the ecological status of nearby surface water bodies.
