For the first time, experiments were carried out to adapt the species Salsola dendroides and Salsola orientalis, distributed in the
Southern Aralkum, to conditions of high salinity in vitro. As a result, it was established that Salsola species exhibit halophytic
characteristics under in vitro conditions. In particular, it was experimentally confirmed that new nutrient medium protocols
modified on the basis f natural salts isolated from the soils of this region represent a highly effective technology for the production
of salt-tolerant tissues.
