This article analyzes the communicative functions of punctuation marks in Uzbek dialogic speech from a pragmalinguistic perspective. Based on dialogues from Uzbek literary works, journalistic texts, and modern written communications, the roles of the period, question mark, exclamation mark, ellipsis, and dash in communication are examined. The analysis shows that in dialogic speech punctuation is not only a grammatical marker but also an important tool for managing the interaction process, expressing the speaker’s attitude, and influencing the interlocutor.
