This article examines the trade relations of the capital city Bukhara, its trade infrastructure, as well as domestic and foreign trade
during the period of the Bukhara Emirate, based on historical sources. The study provides a detailed analysis of the role of
markets in the city’s trade life, the activities of caravanserais, tims, toqs, chorsus, and trade stalls. The research also analyzes the
close connection between trade and craftsmanship, trade laws, the taxation system, and the existence of slave trade. The article
highlights the strategic importance of Bukhara’s geographical location and transit trade routes, as well as its trade relations with
Central Asia, Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, and India. The findings demonstrate that Bukhara was an important economic center in
regional and international trade during the Bukhara Emirate
