This article analyzes the problems related to taking into account the specific linguistic, semantic, and communicative features of aviation terminology in the process of teaching foreign languages to students. The aviation sector has a global character, and its terminology has largely been formed on the basis of the English language. Therefore, when teaching a foreign language to students majoring in aviation, it is necessary to develop not only general language competence but also specialized professional-terminological competence. The article examines the issues of terminological monosemy, the system of abbreviations, international standardization, borrowings and internationalisms, translation challenges, and linguodidactic approaches.
