This article highlights the theoretical foundations of discourse analysis methods and their importance in language education. The oral and
written forms of communication are explained. In addition, the possibilities of applying these methods in native language classes are
scientifically substantiated. It is scientifically concluded that the use of discourse analysis methods in the educational process is an effective
tool for developing students’ communicative and discursive competence
