THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE APPROACH IN TEACHING ENGLISH
This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the communicative competence approach in teaching English. The
linguistic and pedagogical interpretations of the concept of communicative competence, its structural components, and its methodological
significance in the process of foreign language teaching are examined. The scientific views of scholars such as Dell Hymes, M. Canale,
M. Swain, and J. Littlewood on communicative competence are also systematically analyzed. The study substantiates the role of the
communicative approach in the paradigm of modern language education and its pedagogical effectiveness in the process of teaching
