This article analyzes the issue of developing information-analytical competence in students as a pressing pedagogical problem in a turbulent era when humanity is on the threshold of artificial intelligence and the intellectual age. At the same time, it is emphasized that the formation of analytical thinking, which will act as a guiding star in the information ocean, is a requirement of the times. Students' skills in collecting, systematizing, sorting and drawing logical conclusions from information are highlighted from the point of view of pedagogical technologies. Also, the role of analytical competence in increasing the intellectual potential of future specialists is philosophically and methodologically substantiated
