This article explores contemporary pedagogical strategies for fostering compensatory communicative competence in students learning
German as a second language. It examines how learners overcome challenges in communicative situations using various verbal and non-
verbal techniques. The study also highlights the theoretical foundations of communicative competence, its core components, and the roles
of both teachers and students in language acquisition. Findings demonstrate the importance of compensatory competence in enhancing the
effectiveness of language learning and provide practical recommendations for applying modern teaching methods.
