MANUSCRIPT SOURCES OF THE TIMURID PERIOD: TRADITIONS OF CREATION AND HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE

In the article, within the framework of the Resolution No. PQ-46 dated February 5, 2026, the traditions of the creation of manuscript
sources of the Timurid period as well as their historical and cultural significance are scientifically analyzed. The activities of the
participants of the book production process are highlighted, and some manuscripts from the fund of the Institute of Oriental Studies
are studied from a codicological perspective. The results show that the art of book production in the Timurid period was highly
developed and substantiate that these sources are of great importance in the scientific study as well as in the effective organization
of conservation and restoration work
