The purpose of this study is to determine the functional role of exotic vocabulary in the formation of a linguistic worldview in modern Russian prose, using Guzel Yakhina's novel "Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes" as an example. The empirical material includes 120 culturally colored lexical units, including lexemes related to everyday customs, religious concepts, ethnographic elements, and social structures. The study combines comparative, semantic, linguocultural, and contextual analyses. The results show that exotic vocabulary performs four main functions — nominative, representative, conceptual, and interpretative — thus contributing to the formation of a culture-specific linguistic worldview.
