THE DEVELOPMENT OF PHILOSOPHICAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL AND MYTHOLOGICAL MOTIFS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK NOVELS
This article explores the historical formation of the novel genre, its step-by-step evolution, and its specific features in Uzbek and
English literature through a comparative-analytical approach. The study traces the origins of the novel back to oral traditions and
epic narratives, highlighting its gradual development into an independent literary form within written literature. Particular attention
is paid to the influence of socio-political and cultural factors on the transformation of the genre across different historical periods.
The paper also analyzes the structural and thematic changes of the novel during the periods of realism, modernism, and
postmodernism. Furthermore, it examines the national characteristics of Uzbek novelism, including the Jadid period, the Soviet
era, and the years of independence, as well as the role of the English novel in world literature. The findings demonstrate the
universality, adaptability, and significant role of the novel genre in the development of artistic thinking
