This article examines the development of essay writing skills among 10th–11th grade students. It analyzes the theoretical
foundations of written speech formation, the requirements for essay writing, and a system of tasks aimed at improving these
skills. The study also highlights the role of competencies such as creativity, critical and strategic thinking, and adaptability in the
essay writing process. The results contribute to enhancing students’ writing literacy and improving methodological approaches in
teaching.
