THE IMPORTANCE OF PLAY IN THE MENTAL DEVELOPMENT OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN
Preschool age is one of the most important stages in a person's life. At this stage, the opportunities and processes that arise for the physical, mental and spiritual development of the child are inextricably linked. It is at this time that individual abilities begin to form, and as a result of the positive influence of the environment, early communication in the family and in the community, worldview, character and independent thinking skills develop. During this period, children learn the outside world more through play, discover new, previously unknown things for themselves. Play is their natural need, through which they gain life experience, learn to manage their emotions, correctly understand themselves and others, and interact with those around them. Play is a continuous, natural and most effective tool for ensuring the child's mental development, preparing him for life and proper adaptation to society
