POPULATION GENETIC CHARACTERIZATION OF THE D2S441 STR LOCI IN THE POPULATION OF UZBEKISTAN
The allele distribution of the chromosomal locus D2S441 was studied in a random sample of the Uzbekistan population.
Genotyping was performed for 1,538 unrelated individuals from 12 regions of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
The observed genotype frequencies were consistent with Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium. The main population genetic parameters
of the locus, including random match probability, power of discrimination, polymorphism information content, power of
exclusion, and paternity index, were calculated. The obtained data can be used for statistical interpretation of forensic molecular
genetic identification results in the population of Uzbekistan.
