This article presents the results of synthesizing ecological additives for biodiesel fuel based on aminopolysaccharide chitosan
derived from Apis Mellifera and styrene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymers. The optimal copolymerization conditions were
established: molar ratio of acrylic (meth)acid to styrene 1:1, temperature 75°C, duration 3 hours. The copolymer yield was 82–
85% and molecular weight 45,000–52,000 g/mol. Adding 0.3% of the synthesized additive to biodiesel fuel lowers the pour point
from -12°C to -28°C and the cold filter plugging point from -6°C to -18°C. The physical-chemical properties of the fuel with the
additive meet the O‘zDTs 989:2010 standard requirements. A resource-saving technology for producing the ecological additive
has been developed and introduced at "Sanoat Energetika Guruhi" LLC.
