This article analyzes the religious, theological, and philosophical factors that influenced the formation of Sufi philosophy in Central Asia. In particular, it scientifically examines the impact of the spread of Islam in the region, the local cultural environment, Greek philosophy, the science of Kalam, and theological movements such as Mu‘tazilism, Kharijism, Shi‘ism, and Batiniyya on the development of Sufi thought. The study also explores the transformation of ascetic movements into Sufi doctrine, as well as its epistemological and ontological foundations. The article evaluates the scientific and cultural environment of Central Asia as one of the major factors in the development of Sufi philosophy.
