In this work, a new coordination compound of Cu(II) acetylacetonate with the ligand 2-amino-6-methylbenzothiazole (2AMBT)
was synthesized and characterized. The composition and structure of the synthesized complex were investigated using elemental
analysis, infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopy, as well as differential thermal analysis (DTA). The obtained results demonstrated
that the coordination behavior of the ligand and the nature of the metal ion significantly influence the structure and physicochemical
properties of the complex compound. The findings of this study are of considerable scientific importance for elucidating the
structural features of Cu(II) coordination compounds and evaluating their thermal stability.
