In this article, the relaxation processes resulting from vibrational and rotational motions for the bromobenzene molecule in a wide
spectral range (0÷3500 cm -1 ) were investigated using light Raman scattering (RS) spectra. On the basis of experimental and
quantum-chemical calculations, it was determined that the hydrogen-bonded carbon atoms in bromobenzene play a key role in
the manifestation of H-bonds. In the range of lower frequencies, high-intensity RS spectra were observed, and the mechanisms of
their formation were explained in connection with the rotational-shaking motions of the bromobenzene molecule, which has a
complex structure. This makes it possible to analyze the rotational oscillations and draw appropriate conclusions in the formation
of the RS spectrum in the future in the lower frequency range.
