In 2022, the morphological features of the Tashkent riffle bleak (Alburnus oblongus) from the upper stream of the river Chirchik
(Uzbekistan) were studied. The previously abundant species (endemic of the middle Syrdarya) was forced out by invaders from
the Chinese fauna from the plain to the foothill zone of the rivers in the second half of the 20th century; the species state became
threatening; it was included in the Red Book of Uzbekistan. In the 2000s, the presence of species in the foothill zone of Chirchik
was revealed. The formula of the rays of the dorsal fin of the Tashkent perched fin is III 8-9, the formula of the rays of the anal
fin is III 11-12. There are 53-58 scales in the lateral line.
