CONCEPTUAL-SEMANTIC BOUNDARIES OF OPPOSITION AND NEGATION IN THE UZBEK LANGUAGE
The article examines the conceptual foundations and semantic boundaries of opposition and negation, as well as the specific features
of their linguistic realization in Uzbek. Logical-semantic, lexical-semantic, typological, pragmatic, and psycholinguistic
approaches developed in international linguistics are comparatively analysed in order to clarify the relationship between these
phenomena in human cognition and the language system. Particular attention is paid to conceptual polarization, semantic
gradability, boundedness, the scope of negation, and context-dependent interpretation. Drawing on the semantic and functional
properties of linguistic devices in Uzbek, the study generalizes the distinctions and points of intersection between opposition and
negation, together with the regularities governing their semantic realization
