This study examines the ontogenetic development and biomorphological characteristics of Vigna umbellata (Thunb.) Ohwi &
Ohashi under introduction conditions. The research was carried out in Tashkent City and the Karmana District of Navoi Region,
Uzbekistan. Seasonal growth dynamics, phenological characteristics, and ontogenetic stages of the species were investigated using
the methodological approaches of I.V. Borisova, I.N. Beydeman, and T.A. Rabotnov. The results demonstrated that plant height
reached 130–150 cm with a vegetation period of 125–130 days under Tashkent conditions, whereas under Navoi conditions these
values were 25–50 cm and 90–100 days, respectively. The findings indicate a high adaptive capacity and ecological plasticity of
V. umbellata across different environmental conditions of Uzbekistan, highlighting its potential as a promising introduced crop
species.
