STUDY OF THE WATER-SOLUBLE SALT CONTENT IN SOIL LAYERS IN THE CULTIVATED AREAS OF SYRDARYA DISTRICT
This scientific work studies the chemical characteristics of the salinization process in the soils of the Syrdarya district, the
distribution of water-soluble ions by soil layer. The significant impact of irrigation, high evaporation, the level and mineralization
of seepage waters, and drainage conditions on soil salinization in the studied areas of the Syrdarya district remains relevant. In our
scientific work, attention was paid to the distribution of the amounts of water-soluble -Ca²⁺, -Mg²⁺, -Na⁺, -K⁺ cations and -SO₄²⁻, -
CO₃²⁻, -Cl⁻ anions in the 0–5, 5–10, 10–20, 20–40, 40–60, 60–80 and 80–100 cm layers of the soil. The change in these indicators
by layers allows us to assess the migration of salts in the soil, as well as the formation characteristics of the salinization process.
The results of the study serve to create a scientific basis for monitoring soil salinity, improving irrigation and reclamation measures,
and maintaining the fertility of agricultural lands.
