In this study, the solubility properties of the ternary system monochloroacetic acid–triethanolamine–water were investigated within
the temperature range of -46°C to +13°C using the polythermal method. Based on the obtained results, a complete solubility
diagram was constructed, and independent crystallization regions were identified for ice, monochloroacetic acid, its monohydrate
(ClCH₂COOH·H₂O), triethanolamine, and a newly discovered complex compound ClCH₂COOH·H₂O·N(C₂H₄OH)₃. The
composition of the complex was confirmed by chemical analysis, and its stoichiometry was established. The results are of
significant scientific and practical importance for the development of new biologically active compounds, as well as for optimizing
reaction media and designing technological processes.
