This article examines the morphological structure of verb parts of speech in French and Uzbek from a comparative typological perspective.
The primary goal of the study is to determine the morphemic composition of verbs, their stems, affixes, grammatical-formative devices,
and specific features of verb formation in these two languages. In French, radical and inflectional indicators play an important role in verb
formation, and some verbs contain allomorphic variants of the radical. In Uzbek, verb morphology is characterized by agglutinative
properties, and grammatical meanings are typically expressed through successively added affixes. The results of the study allow us to
identify common and distinct aspects of verb morphology in French and Uzbek, as well as interpret them from the perspective of contrastive
linguistics and foreign language teaching methods.
