PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF DEVELOPING LEGAL LITERACY AMONG INTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICERS
The article analyzes the issue of developing legal literacy among internal affairs personnel from a psychological perspective. Legal literacy is interpreted not merely as the extent of knowledge regarding regulatory legal acts, but as a functional system integrating the comprehension of legal situations, the interpretation of norms in the context of official duties, decision-making within the limits of authority, the explanation of decisions to citizens in a respectful and understandable manner, and the reflexive evaluation of one’s own actions. A comparative-theoretical analysis was conducted, drawing upon international research into police psychology and procedural justice, as well as the regulatory documents governing the activities of internal affairs agencies in Uzbekistan.
