cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, volt, copper(II) ions, ethyl alcohol, 2-benzylthio-5-(4-aminophenyl)-1,3,4- oxadiazole (reagent D-180)

Authors

In this article, the electrochemical properties of the reagent 2-benzylthio-5-(4-aminophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole were studied using
cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry, and an electrochemical method for the determination of copper(II) ions was
elaborated. The influence of various solvents on the determination of copper(II) ions was studied: acetic acid, DMF, butyl and
ethyl alcohols, from which ethyl alcohol at a voltage of 1.2 V turned out to be the optimal solvent. The half-wave potential of
0.25 V for 2-benzylthio- complex was determined by cyclic voltammetry.
