STUDY OF MIXED-LIGAND COMPOUNDS OF SOME 3d-METALS WITH LIGANDS BASED ON 2- AMINOBENZIMIDAZOLE AND MONOETHANOLAMINE

Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn salts, ligand, 2-aminobenzimidazole, monoethanolamine, complex compound, IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis, SEM-EDX.

Authors

The article describes the synthesis of new multi-ligand complex salts of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn based on 2-
aminobenzimidazole and monoethanolamine and determined their composition, structure and properties using physicochemical
methods such as: scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive analysis (SEM-EDX), X-ray phase and thermal analysis as
well as IR spectroscopy. It was shown that the metal atom is monodentately coordinated through the nitrogen atom of the
imidazole ring in the 2-aminobenzimidazole molecule and bidentately coordinated through the nitrogen atoms of the amino group
and the oxygen of the hydroxyl group of monoethanolamine
