A new [CuL2(CH3COO)2]·H2O complex was synthesized from copper(II) acetate and 2-propionylaminobenzimidazole (L). Its
structure was characterized by elemental analysis, single-crystal XRD, and Hirshfeld surface analysis. The Cu(II) cation is
bidentate-chelated via the endocyclic nitrogen and hydroxyl oxygen atoms of the ligand. The coordination polyhedron exhibits a
distorted square-bipyramidal geometry with tetragonal elongation induced by the Jahn–Teller effect
