Today, in world linguistics, researchers are focusing on the issue of researching colloquial lexicon as well as literary language units. Most of these studies are mainly devoted to the problems of slang, jargon and slang. However, there are almost no studies devoted to the cross-sectional study of colloquial units used by English and Uzbek speakers in live communication. From this point of view, in this article, the lexical units of the adjective parts of speech in English and Uzbek colloquial units are analyzed semantically and their
similarities and differences are revealed.
