DESCRIPTION OF THE CONCEPT OF "JUSTICE" IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK EXPLANATORY DICTIONARIES
This article offers a comparative analysis of the concept of "justice" as presented in English and Uzbek explanatory dictionaries. Through a close examination of definitions, synonyms, and illustrative examples, the study reveals how cultural values and legal traditions shape the linguistic representation of this complex concept. It is identified both shared understandings and significant divergences in the semantic fields associated with "justice" across the two languages, highlighting the challenges of achieving conceptual equivalence in translation and cross-cultural communication in this article. The research is relevant to lexicographers, translators, linguists, and anyone interested in the intersection of language, culture, and the conceptualization of abstract ideas. After all, every work in the field of translation requires comparative, comparative analysis and research, and the sum of these analyses enriches the field of translation.
