FEATURES OF NUTRITION DURING FASTING IN STUDENTS ASSOCIATED WITH COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS

The purpose of the article is to study the influence of nutritional status during fasting on some cognitive functions of students. At the same time, the provision of macronutrients during the fasting period of biology students of 1-2 levels was determined, as well as their memory capacity, attention, and speed of visual-motor reaction. The research results showed the absence of a significant effect of fasting during Ramadan fasting on cognitive functions in the examined students. Statistically significant changes were found in mental performance only for some parameters of memory and attention during various periods of fasting and a week after its end relative to the data before the start of fasting. The results related to the subjects' diet did not show significant changes in this regard. Only boys showed a significant change in the middle of fasting compared to the pre-fasting stage
