Authors

This study investigates the morphological variation of the eastern crested loach Paracobitis longicauda (Kessler, 1872), an endemic species of the Aral Sea basin and a dominant taxon in the freshwater bodies of southern Uzbekistan. Morphometric measurements of fish specimens collected from the Karatag and Tupalang rivers were analyzed using Student’s t-test. The results revealed no significant differences in 28 out of 36 measured traits, while the remaining 8 traits showed statistically significant differences at the 1% level.
