TEACHING METHODOLOGY FOR EXPLAINING NEW TOPICS IN PHYSICS USING PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING
This article highlights the role and significance of problem-based learning (PBL) technologies in the assimilation of new knowledge in physics. The author scientifically substantiates a methodology for developing students’ independent thinking and scientific inquiry skills through problem-based questions, problem situations, and experimental approaches. Methodical models for creating problem situations during lessons and organizing analytical activities have been applied. Lesson scenarios built on experimental observations, educational experiments, and problem-based questions are analyzed. Methodological approaches to teaching physics based on PBL have been developed, tested through experimentation, and exemplary methodological recommendations have been proposed for teachers to apply when teaching new topics.
