This paper examines the introduction of the manuscript Mahāsin al-Kalām authored by Abū al-Ḥasan al-Marghīnānī, focusing on linguistic and semantic analysis of the classical Arabic text. The study explores themes such as rhetorical eloquence, aesthetic unity of expression and meaning, and the Qur’an’s unmatched stylistic and semantic features as a divine miracle. The author emphasizes that the work was composed during a time of waning interest in literary arts, aimed at reviving the appreciation for refined language among devoted readers. The research concludes that Mahāsin al-Kalām stands as a spiritually and intellectually profound work, asserting that mastery of balāgha requires not only intellectual effort but also heartfelt dedication. The Qur’an is presented as beyond the reach of imitation, highlighting its sacred uniqueness in both form and substance.
