This article analyzes the process of language acquisition in blind individuals, particularly the formation of word meanings, within the framework of various psycholinguistic theories: nativist, cognitive, socio-interactionist, functional, and distributional approaches. Based on the scientific views of different scholars, it explains the ways and sensory foundations through which blind individuals acquire word meanings.
