THE EXPERIENCE OF APEC IN REGIONAL COOPERATION
At the end of the last century, a specific environment emerged as a global reflection of regional cooperation processes, and in this context, APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) became an important example in international regional studies. While APEC showed strong potential for the development of effective regional trade cooperation in the late 20th century, its influence declined in the 21st century, raising doubts about its viability and significance as a model of regional partnership. Nevertheless, APEC achieved certain advantages in promoting investment and trade among its members. In recent years, the organization has faced criticism due to a lack of cohesion and limited impact on its participants. This article analyzes the positive and negative aspects of APEC’s activity and evaluates its experience in the development of regional cooperation.
