A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO DEVELOPING SUBJECT-RELATED COMPETENCIES IN STUDENTS
This article highlights the theoretical and practical aspects of a systematic approach to developing subject-related, particularly
speech, competencies among students in the teaching of the Uzbek language. The essence of the competency-based approach, the
interrelation between linguistic and speech competencies, modern educational technologies, interactive methods, as well as issues
related to the teacher’s methodological preparedness, are analyzed in the article. The article provides scientific and practical
recommendations on developing students’ independent thinking, communication culture, and creative approach.
