This article examines the principle of internationalism, which is regarded as one of the fundamental principles of journalism. At the outset, the author provides a definition of internationalism and elaborates on its distinctive features in comparison with other principles, as well as on the aspects of their interconnection. An important part of the article is devoted to the practical manifestation of the principle of internationalism in Uzbekistan, in particular, the creation of favorable conditions for the peaceful, friendly, and fraternal coexistence of nations and ethnic communities within the country.
Furthermore, the article highlights the existence of freedom of the press and freedom of speech among the diverse nationalities residing in Uzbekistan. For instance, the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan broadcasts programs in 12 languages, radio transmissions are carried out in 7 languages of fraternal peoples, and newspapers and journals are published in more than ten languages.
