This paper examines the results of a lithological and stratigraphic study of the Cenomanian deposits of the Bukantau and Kuldzhuktau mountains, located in the southwestern part of the Tien Shan folded system. The study area is characterized by a complex geological structure, in which the Cenomanian stage of the Cretaceous system plays a key role in the reconstruction of the late Mesozoic sedimentation conditions and tectonic evolution of the region.
