In this article, based on scientific sources, the formation of the concept of copywriting, its historical development, theoretical
interpretations, as well as the specific features of this activity in the context of the internet and digital communications are analyzed.
A comparative analysis of definitions of copywriting, the profession of copywriter, and text creation practices proposed by foreign
and domestic researchers is conducted; their close interrelation with advertising, public relations, marketing, and journalism is
substantiated.
