PEDAGOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE SPORTS IDEAL AND ITS IMPORTANCE IN FORMING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

This article analyzes the pedagogical and psychological foundations of developing students’ knowledge about the sports ideal and
its role in forming a healthy lifestyle. The study highlights the importance of physical education and sports in strengthening
students’ health, promoting physical development, forming motor skills and abilities, as well as fostering moral, aesthetic, and
volitional qualities. Within the framework of state policy, special attention is paid to orienting young people toward sports
participation, developing mass sports, and creating a healthy social environment. The article substantiates the necessity of
organizing physical education classes with consideration of students’ age, gender, and individual capabilities, as well as
implementing advanced pedagogical technologies. The research results demonstrate that educating students based on the sports
ideal is an important factor in shaping a healthy generation in society.
