THE SEMANTIC SYSTEM OF MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY AND THE MAIN PRINCIPLES OF ITS ONTOLOGICAL MODELING

This article analyzes the semantic features of medical terminology and the foundations of ontological modeling. It substantiates the relevance of studying semantic relations using modern computer technologies in linguistics, as well as modeling terminological systems based on conceptual and ontological approaches. Medical terms are examined through paradigmatic and syntagmatic relations, including semantic connections such as synonymy, antonymy, homonymy, hypernymy-hyponymy, holonymy, and meronymy. In ontological modeling, hierarchical classification, semantic fields, classes and subclasses, and the statistics of multicomponent terms are considered.
