The proverb notes that saltwort (Aeluropus littoralis) is a perennial halophytic plant belonging to the grass family (Poaceae) that
can be used to restore the condition of saline pastures and increase their yields, and is distinguished by its high adaptability to
saline soils. This plant is one of the important forage plants of desert and semi-desert regions. Therefore, the article presents an
analysis of data on the distribution area, morphological and biological characteristics, forage value, and the significance of
saltwort in the restoration of degraded desert pastures.
