ISSUES OF CULTURAL AND NATURAL HERITAGE PRESERVATION IN THE ACTIVITIES OF TURKKOMSTARIS (1920–1924)
The article examines the issues of cultural and natural heritage preservation in the activities of the Committee for Museums and Protection of Monuments of Antiquity, Art and Nature of the Turkestan Republic (Turkkomstaris) in 1920–1924, based on archival documents. The organizational structure of the committee, museum construction, establishment of nature reserves, management of scientific expeditions, and restoration of architectural monuments are analyzed.
