In the foreign policy of modern Pakistan, the issue of regional peace and security is considered a crucial priority, and its achievement is closely linked to the development of relations with neighboring countries based on mutual respect and sovereign equality. In particular, relations with Afghanistan occupy a special place in Pakistan’s foreign policy. This article examines Pakistan’s approaches to its relations with Afghanistan and the role of the Afghan factor in regional security policy, and analyzes the regional situation in the contemporary context.
