In comparative literary studies, the significance of two linguistic and cultural traditions is invaluable, and when they are examined, mentality and cultural codes play a crucial role.Mentality reflects the way a particular nation or society thinks, interprets life, and expresses the spiritual and psychological characteristics of its members. Cultural code serves as a key to revealing the national and cultural identity of a people.The following discussion analyzes the role of national mentality and cultural codes in the artistic interpretation of parent-child relationships.
